Is there anyone out there that are major meme nerds like myself? If so, you know the “nailed it” meme that is circulating out there? If not, here are some examples:
Well this “nailed it” meme is all I can think about when I look at my arm and see the crap job the girl at Kaiser did when she retrieved blood from my vein.
This is a picture of my arm immediately following the blood draw. You can see the lump (hematoma) if you look closely:
And this is what it looks like a few days later (today):
I know I probably sound like a whiny baby complaining about this because I know she could have screwed up worse but seriously, guys? She has ONE job and that’s just to draw blood in the labs. ONE. There is nothing more annoying to me than people who have one very specific duty that they can’t seem to get right. Actually I lied, there are more annoying things in the world that bother me but this really does disturb me seeing that its already like pulling teeth to get me to put my big girl panties on and do blood draws and then this happens.
It’s Wednesday night. I have 3 more nights at my Grandma’s house and then I am a free woman. A woman with less disposable income, but free.
Let freedom ring!!!!!
Tomorrow also marks the 2 week mark until I get to see my boyfriend who is flying to California for his winter break. Normally 2 weeks seems really far away but luckily I will be really busy with the move, setting up and studying my ass off for this Texas State Board exam so that I can move to Austin, TX in May. Who knows what’s going to happen though. I might not move, the world might end, I might decide to go to Clown college for a 3rd degree or join a Gypsy family and travel the back roads in long beaded skirts.
Here’s another fun adventure I have put myself on.
I have decided to attempt to move into my new place and only spend $100 or less furnishing the whole place. Sounds crazy, right? It is.
Well it’s mixed with a little bit of crazy and cheap but it works. Here’s the tally so far:
4.4 Cubic foot mini fridge ($50) off of Craigslist. I have to supply my own fridge because studio apartments don’t come with one. The model I bought is the same one I was looking at, at Lowe’s for $200 before taxes
Couch (free) thank you to my brother
Coffee pot (free) thanks grandma
Bed (free) thanks grandma, again
Flat screen and DVD player (free) thank you brother, again
Plates, cups and utensils (thanks grandma and brother)
Various household items, hygienic stuff, baskets and random other things (thanks Aunt Amy)
Toaster, trash can and other household items (free) thank you Sondi
Area rug (free….hopefully) I’m trying to get my dad to foot this bill for my Christmas gift.
I got a $25 gift card for Home Depot so I’m going to buy my window curtains and rod with that money and go to GoodWill looking for a dish rack.
Other then that I have a bunch of decorative items that I had boxed away in my grandmas garage that I will be able to fill my place up with easily.
I also spend $13 at the Dollar Tree picking up household cleaners and what nots.
So I am currently at $63 spent total.
Other than that I have never else to report.
The free candy ad on Craigslist never wrote me back 😦 So there’s that.
Good night xo
