The funny part about that is my life is actually not that crazy so I kind of lied to you right now. I apologize. What I won’t apologize for is the fact that I like to write about more than food, exercise and weight loss since those things kind of bore me and I would rather talk about silly adventures and dressing up in Halloween costumes in the middle of July.

Dear Friends Who Knew About GB and Never Told Me About This Band,
Are you insane? Why did you not tell me about this? Why haven’t you invited me to a show of GB where we could dress up in beaded skirts & head wraps and dance with strangers and jump up and down until our knees give out because we are getting older? Why do you hate me so much? Is it because I was born on Labor Day Weekend and I remind you of your job that you really don’t like? I don’t get it. I thought we were friends. Friends share things with each other. I guess I know where we stand. I still love you though.

This morning my co-worker and I were updating each other on our whereabouts this weekend and I was going on and on and on about how Gogol Bordello is my new favorite band for the moment and seeing them live changed my life. I asked her if she has ever heard of them and NO LIE….SHE REACHED OVER ON HER DESK AND FLIPPED OVER A CD AND LIFTED IT UP. LOOK AT THE CD!!!!
WTF?!??!!?!??!!/ WHAT ARE THE EFFING CHANCES OF THIS HAPPENING?!?!?!
THE UNIVERSE IS WATCHING ME!!!!!!!!!! WEIRD THINGS ARE HAPPENING NONSTOP!
After we recovered from laughing at this I decided it was time for me to make a post dedicated solely to this band. That was a sign that I really needed to do this so I could express my love for this music and how I want to capture and marry the lead singer, Eugene Hütz. He is strange looking, tall, skinny with facial hair and almost 40 years old. We are also both Virgos. It’s meant to be.
So here’s a few pictures and videos of them performing. If you don’t like this music please don’t tell me because I will think you are wrong & you don’t like to have fun. HAHA

By the way, if you think I was making fun of him by recording his killer dance moves you are wrong. My only concern was that he needed a belt to keep his pants up so he could continue dancing and enjoying himself. I feel like more people needed to move the way he was moving. My only regret from this day was that I didn’t dance with him BUT I DID dance side-by-side with an 11-year-old little boy who LOVEEEEDDDDDD Gogol Bordello. His mother definitely deserved the “Rad Mom of the Year” award for bringing her son to this show.
Alright. So that’s it. If you ever want to go on an epic European adventure with me just let me know. I am fully planning on seeing these guys perform again and I would really love it if this experience could take place overseas.
